Mongolia’s Top Othello Players Launch a Club for Children
*“思想者竞技场”
蒙古顶尖黑白棋选手为儿童创办俱乐部
A remarkable initiative aimed at enhancing the intellectual development of children in Orkhon Province became a reality on January 25, 2025. We are excited to announce the official establishment of the “Thinkers Arena” Othello Club, founded by two of Mongolia’s top-ranked young Othello players, Ankhbayar Ganzes and Narantuya Erdenebat.
一项旨在提升鄂尔浑省儿童智力发展的非凡计划于2025年1月25日成为现实。我们激动地宣布，由蒙古顶尖年轻黑白棋选手Ankhbayar Ganzes和Narantuya Erdenebat创立的“思想者竞技场”（Thinkers Arena）黑白棋俱乐部正式成立。
Narantuya, a 12th-grade student from Orkhon Province’s 4th Secondary School (class 12E), and Ankhbayar, a 10th-grade student from the same school (class 10G), are currently leading the national Othello rankings for female and male players, respectively. They are also certified instructors, officially recognized by the Mongolian Othello Federation, and serve as inspiring leaders in promoting mind sports across the country.
Narantuya是鄂尔浑省第四中学12年级E班的学生，Ankhbayar是同一所学校10年级G班的学生，他们目前分别领跑蒙古国家黑白棋女子和男子选手排名。他们也是蒙古黑白棋联盟官方认证的教练，并在全国推广智力运动中担任鼓舞人心的领导者。
Right after its founding, the club successfully introduced Othello and conducted beginner-level training for nearly 300 students from various general education schools in Orkhon Province, sparking a strong interest in intellectual games among children.
俱乐部成立后，立即成功地向鄂尔浑省各普通教育学校的近300名学生介绍了黑白棋并开展了入门级培训，在孩子们中激发了对智力游戏的浓厚兴趣。
“Thinkers Arena” is more than just a place to learn the rules of Othello — it fosters an environment where children can develop critical thinking, decision-making, fair competition, and positive communication skills, all of which are essential for a successful and thoughtful life.
“思想者竞技场”不仅仅是一个学习黑白棋规则的地方——它更营造了一个环境，让孩子们能够培养批判性思维、决策能力、公平竞争和积极沟通技巧，所有这些对于成功和深思熟虑的人生都至关重要。
This is a truly valuable example of youth taking initiative and becoming role models for their peers. “On behalf of the Mongolian Othello Federation and the entire Othello community, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Narantuya and Ankhbayar. We wish them continued success, inspiration, and ever-growing intellectual achievements!” says Buyanzaya Khuyagbaatar, Mongolia Othello Federation.
